Press Release
Centrix Software Joins Microsoft UK Jumpstart Program
IPExpo, London, UK – October, 19th 2011:Centrix Software, a provider of unified end-user computing solutions, today announced its participation in the Microsoft Jumpstart program, which provides Microsoft partners with solutions and resources for accelerating Windows 7 migrations. Centrix WorkSpace iQ™ will feature as part of the program, offering resellers and consulting partners an advanced analytics solution that analyses the readiness of end-user computing environments for Windows 7 and delivers critical user insight that provides the foundation for Jumpstart proof of concept (POC), planning and production deployment stages.
Centrix WorkSpace iQ gives organisations the ability to understand quickly and easily the dynamics of their computing environments - from the assets that are installed to how people actually use the IT resources provided by corporate IT teams on a day-to-day basis. The intelligence it delivers, in the form of management dashboards, actionable reports and rich, deep analytics, gives IT and project teams vital insight for shaping IT transformation strategies, determining the selection of best-fit technologies and optimising the deployment of devices, applications and platforms, whether virtual, web, physical or cloud-based.
“As a Jumpstart vendor, we help partners and customers identify what applications are installed, which applications and devices are Windows 7 compatible and importantly which applications are actually used, where we provide the richest, deepest insight in the industry. Armed with this empirical data on application usage, customers and partners dramatically streamline their Windows 7 migrations by reducing the number of applications requiring repackaging and remediation,” stated Richard Pegden, Director of Product Marketing, Centrix Software. “By providing a user-centric view of the IT environment, Centrix WorkSpace iQ also enables organisations to significantly reduce the cost and maximise the efficiency of Windows 7 migrations and other desktop transformation initiatives as IT embarks on the path towards end-user computing.”
