Being at the heart of the London 2012 games
As the Official Network Infrastructure Provider for the Games, Cisco is at the heart of the London 2012 games. The London 2012 Games needs to be the most connected Games possible – Cisco’s Borderless Network architecture will connect nearly 100 locations, including 36 competition venues and 20 further venues such as the Olympic Village and operations centre. By 27 July 2012 under the scrutiny of the world this all needs to be perfect – the network is at the heart of the staging of the events and is essential to commercial broadcasters and the athletes... but also to the millions of viewers who will want to generate and share experiences.Roger Black, Olympic silver & World Championship gold medalist, will outline the role of technology from an athlete’s perspective and Neil Crockett, Managing Director for London 2012, Cisco will discuss the legacy of the Games and how we can build a brilliant future for technological innovation in the UK after the Games.
